Hezbollah Condemns Desecration of the Holy Quran by US Citizen

Hezbollah’s Islamic Resistance in Lebanon issued a statement on Thursday strongly condemning the shocking act committed by a US individual who desecrated the Holy Quran in a provocative scene rife with hatred and incitement.

The group described the act as a blatant assault on the holiest symbols of Islam and on the religious and humanitarian values upheld by all divine faiths.

The statement highlighted decades of racist culture and hate speech in the West—fueled by successive US administrations and Zionist lobbies—of systematically distorting the image of Islam to serve divisive, colonial, and destructive agendas. Hezbollah argued that this environment of incitement emboldens extremists to commit such vile acts.

Additionally, Hezbollah further criticized the US administration for failing to take action against the perpetrators under the pretext of so-called “freedom of expression,” calling it proof of Washington’s full support for these provocative practices. The group said this reflects the inherent malevolence of US policymakers, whose aim is to inflame religious hatred and stoke conflict among peoples.

The statement emphasized that the crime was not an isolated act, but rather the work of extremists who serve the agenda of global arrogance, seeking to undermine Islam as a moral and ethical bulwark against immorality, criminality, and aggression, which these powers promote worldwide.

Lebanon’s Hezbollah called on the Arab and Islamic nations, including leaders, religious and cultural authorities, and followers of all divine religions, to launch a broad condemnation of this heinous act and to take a firm, unequivocal stance against any attack on Islamic sanctities or divine messages. The group concluded that such actions fuel hatred and undermine all efforts to promote understanding and peace among nations.
