US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he would have “no problem” in selling F-35 fighter jets to the UAE.
“I personally would have no problem with it,” Trump told the Fox News, as reported by Reuters.
“Some people do, they say well maybe they go to war. Selling our stuff is good for our country, in one way…I view it as an asset, not a liability,” Trump added.
The US president, who will oversee the signing of a deal normalizing relations between Israel and the UAE later Tuesday, said the sale would mean “tremendous jobs at home.”
The Zionist entity, currently the only country in the region to possess the US warplanes, has pushed back, insisting on retaining its overwhelming technical advantage against its Arab neighbors.
