Lebanon recorded on Saturday 488 new coronavirus cases and one related death, Ministry of Public Health announced.

439 new infections were recorded among local residents, while the other 49 cases were imported, the ministry said in its daily report, putting the total infections nationwide since February 2020 to 550,492.

One new fatality was registered over the past 24 hours, raising the nationwide death toll to 7,884, the ministry stated.

The ministry added that 21,625 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.

194 coronavirus patients have been hospitalized in the last 24 hours, including 63 at the ICU rooms, 15 of whom are on ventilators, the report added.
