Israeli media reported that a barrage of rockets was fired at the Red Sea resort town of Eilat late Wednesday.
The Iron Dome missile defense system managed to intercept three of them, Israeli daily, Haaretz reported, noting that no Israelis were hurt in the incident, but a number suffered anxiety.
The southern Israeli town shares a border with Jordan and Egypt’s restive Sinai region.
Occupation police were following the attack searching the city for any possible debris.
Meanwhile, Israeli media also reported that the Takfiri ISIL group claimed responsibility for the rockets launch.
Jerusalem Post said that ISIL terrorists fired between four to seven rockets on Eilat from Sinai.
