Supreme Leader Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei has reaffirmed Iran’s unwavering commitment to support the Palestinian resistance in their struggle against the Israeli occupation.
These declarations were made during a meeting with Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Political Bureau of the Hamas movement, and the Palestinian delegation accompanying him, on Sunday.
In their meeting, Haniyeh presented a comprehensive update on the latest developments in Gaza, highlighting the ongoing atrocities committed by the Zionist entity against innocent civilians, as well as the evolving situation in the West Bank.
Imam Khamenei took the opportunity to commend the resilience and steadfastness of the people of Gaza, emphasizing the importance of their patience in the face of the enemy. He also strongly condemned the heinous crimes carried out by the Israeli forces.
Furthermore, Imam Khamenei underscored the direct involvement of the United States and some Western countries in supporting the occupying entity’s actions in Gaza. He stressed the urgent need for concerted efforts by Islamic nations and international organizations to provide substantial and practical support for the people of Gaza.
In turn, Haniyeh expressed his gratitude for Iran’s consistent and invaluable efforts at both regional and international levels in support of the Palestinian cause.
He noted that the Palestinian resistance has reached its zenith, compelling the enemy to target civilians instead of engaging directly with the resistance fighters.
