The Iranian President Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi emphasized that the Israeli enemy exercises oppression policies against the Palestinian people, adding that the United States of America and European states support it.
In a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan after a summit meeting in Ankara, Sayyed Raisi called for severing the diplomatic and economic ties with the Zionist enemy and reiterating support to the Palestinian cause.
President Raisi added that, in light of the Zionist aggression ongoing for over 100 days on Gaza, Palstine has emerged victorious and ‘Israel’ has lost.
For his part, President Erdogan said that the two two sides underlined the necessity of ending the non-humanitarian attacks on Gaza.
The two presidents have held a two-hour private meeting at Ak-Saray Palace in Turkiye’s capital Ankara.
Raisi, heading a political and economic delegation to participate in the eighth meeting of the Iran-Turkiye Supreme Council of Economic Cooperation, arrived in Ankara earlier on Wednesday and was welcomed by Erdogan.
The two presidents then held private talks, and later co-chaired the eighth meeting of their countries’ Supreme Council of Economic Cooperation.
