In an exclusive interview with the Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar, a commander from the air force of Hezbollah’s Islamic Resistance offered a fascinating insight into the evolution of Lebanon’s air force. He highlighted the strategic collaboration with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iran, particularly in the realm of drone operations, illuminating the pivotal advancements that have reshaped the group’s capabilities.
The commander elaborated on the intricacies of drone weaponry, which plays a crucial role in the resistance’s air force. He detailed the relentless efforts to secure essential resources for the movement, despite the enemy’s attempts to thwart the acquisition of these capabilities. This struggle includes military operations, most notably the assassination of the unit’s leader and mastermind, Martyr Commander Hassan Lakkis, in 2013.
During the interview, Hezbollah’s commander further elaborated on the Israeli operational systems designed for monitoring, detecting, and tracking drones, outlining the strategies and technologies they employ.
