Israeli airstrikes early Sunday morning struck tents housing displaced Palestinian families situated in the grounds of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. This latest incident has resulted in a reported three martyrs and over 18 injuries, with several individuals in critical condition.

The Gaza Government Media Office condemned the attack as a “heinous aggression,” marking it as part of a persistent pattern of violence against the unarmed Palestinian population that has persisted for more than 300 days.
Footage emerging from the scene depicted the tents engulfed in flames as brave Palestinians worked to extinguish the fire and rescue those trapped within.

This brutal attack came less than one day after the Israeli occupation army bombed a school also sheltering forcibly displaced Palestinian families, killing and wounding tens of people.

The air attack on the Hamama School, located in the Sheikh Radwan Neighborhood in northernmost Gaza, led to the martyrdom of 15 Palestinians and the wounding of at least 35 others.

The ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza has led to severe humanitarian conditions, with displaced individuals forced to seek refuge with relatives, in makeshift tents, or in public spaces under dire conditions lacking basic necessities like water and food. The number of displaced persons in Gaza has reached approximately 2 million since the conflict began on October 7.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on the enclave since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in 39,550 documented Palestinian fatalities, with an additional 91,280 others injured. Thousands of victims are also estimated to be buried under the rubble.
