At least nine Palestinians were martyred and several others were injured on Saturday in an Israeli attack on Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, as the occupation regime has tightened the blockade on the strip.
Local source said that Israeli drones targeted two vehicles that the victims were travelling in as they were trying to document the humanitarian relief effort in Beit Lahia.

Since the implementation of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, different charitable and humanitarian organizations started to ramp up their efforts in order to provide humanitarian support for Palestinians, specifically during the holy month of Ramadan.
Palestinians, including those who were working in the humanitarian field alongside local journalists, have been trying to document what’s going on in Gaza, specifically for families who have been trying to cope with the aggravating humanitarian crisis.
Commenting on the massacre, Hamas resistance group issued a statement, calling it a “horrific massacre” and “a continuation of Israeli war crimes against our people and a dangerous escalation that reflects its insistence on continuing its aggression and disregard for all international laws and conventions”.
The Palestinian group also called on the mediators to pressure Netanyahu to move forwards with implementing the agreed ceasefire and prisoner exchange.
Acute Malnutrition Doubles
On the other hand, the United Nations’ children agency warned that one in three children under the age of two in the northern Gaza Strip suffers from acute malnutrition, as the Israeli total blockade of aid enters its third week.
🚨 Urgent: Acute child malnutrition in northern Gaza has doubled in just one month, as reported by UNICEF. The crisis is deepening, particularly affecting children under two and under five. The agency said acute malnutrition had doubled in a month, affecting 31 percent of children under two in February, compared with 15.6 percent in January. Among children under five, acute malnutrition has surged from 13 to 25 percent, it added, citing nutrition screenings carried out by UNICEF and its partners.
The Israeli occupation halted the entry of all aid supplies to Gaza on March 2, hours after the first phase of its fragile ceasefire deal with the Palestinian group Hamas expired, raising fears of deepening hunger and more hardships for the territory’s population.
The occupation regime has also cut electricity to a crucial water desalination plant, threatening Gaza’s potable water supply.
Rights organizations have accused ‘Israel’ of crimes against humanity and violations of international laws for cutting off aid to Gaza.
