Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Hasan Ezzeddine affirmed that the Lebanese resistance group won’t yield to US-Israeli blackmail over the resistance’s weapons.
In remarks published by Hezbollah’s Media Relations Office on Thursday, MP Ezzeddine considered the weapons of resistance as an internal national affair.
“Our country, especially south Lebanon, is still subjected to Israeli attacks. Lebanon and the entire region won’t know stability as long as the Israeli enemy occupies the land and the holy sites.”
The Palestinian cause today – with what it represents in terms of cause, people, land, and holy sites – is the compass of rightfulness, the Hezbollah MP stated.
“The resistance is not a temporary or seasonal state, but rather it has been deeply rooted since the Nakba (1948) and Naksa (1967), as it has been strongly embodied in 1982 (Israeli occupation).”
Talking about liberation of south Lebanon in 2000, MP Ezzeddine said it was “the first true Arab victory over the Israeli enemy,” stressing that the resistance forced the Israeli occupation forces to withdraw leave without a political, security, or diplomatic agreement.”
He affirmed that the resistance is a need to Lebanon.
“US-Israeli pressure on Lebanon in an attempt to blackmail the resistance over its weapons won’t succeed.”
MP Ezzeddine warned some local parties that betting on foreign powers to settle national affairs is a losing bet.
“The only way out is to rely on the Lebanese people, Lebanese Army and the Lebanese Resistance.”
Hezbollah Secretary General Shekh Naim Qassem has repeatedly stressed that attempts to pressure Lebanon and Hezbollah on the resistance weapons are futile.
