The Syrian Army and Armed Forces units launched operations against gatherings of ISIL in Um Sahrij village to the east of Homs city.
A military source told SANA that an army unit directed accurate strikes on fortified positions and dens for ISIL in the village of Um Sahrij, destroying a pickup truck equipped with heavy machinegun and a rocket-launching platform along with 6 terrorists.
The Syrian army units established control over the villages of al-Tadmuria, al-Khalilia and al-Mohashem, the Mounts of al-Shomaria and the hills surrounding them after killing a number of ISIL terrorists in the eastern countryside of Homs.
Deir Ezzor
Meanwhile, army units, in cooperation with allied forces, carried out intensive operations against ISIL gatherings and infiltration axes on the southern outskirts of Deir Ezzor city.
SANA reporter in Deir Ezzor said that army units shelled ISIL sites in the graveyards area, destroying a number of the terrorist organization dens and killing a number of terrorists, including the so called “Abu al-Zubair al-Maghribi” the arming official in the so called “Euphrates State” and Hassan al-Mala one of ISIL leaders.
The reporter quoted local sources as saying that a group of the locals of al-Bu Kamal city had attacked one of ISIL hideouts on the outskirts of the city and managed to kill two of its terrorists and burned a number of cars.
