Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei: Revenge Is the People’s Demand and Will Inevitably Be Achieved

Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, issued a defiant message during the funeral of his father, the martyred Supreme Leader Imam sayyed Ali Khamenei, declaring that “revenge is the people’s demand and will certainly be carried out.”

In his statement, Ayatollah sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei expressed profound gratitude for the historic turnout of tens of millions of mourners, who, across Iran and Iraq particularly in Tehran, Qom, Najaf, Karbala, and Mashhad delivered an astonishing show of solidarity that humiliated the nation’s enemies.

“We bid farewell to our martyred leader with tearful eyes and broken hearts,” he said. “We pledge to preserve his school of thought and steadfastly follow the path he laid out, without fear of difficulties, and to hold fast, like him, to the divine promise and glad tidings.”

Addressing the late leader directly, he continued: “O wronged martyr, O proud oppressed one, O righteous servant of God as we bid farewell to your body with tearful eyes and broken hearts, we pledge to protect your school, to steadfastly follow the straight path you have drawn, not to fear the hardships of this road, and to bind our hearts, as you did, to the divine glad tidings and promises.”

The Promise of Revenge

In his message, sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei vowed to avenge his father’s pure blood alongside the blood of all martyrs from the two recent wars, promising to bring the “shameful and criminal killers” to justice. He emphasized that the perpetrators, whose names are fully documented, “will take to their graves the wish to die peacefully in their beds.”

Asserting that retribution transcends any single individual, sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei stated: “The criminals should know that this matter does not depend on my presence or the presence of other officials. Whether we are present or not, this will be achieved and soon. Free people from around the world will fulfill a part of this divine mission.”

Addressing the fallen companions of the leader, he declared: “You, the oppressed companions of the leader, who were subjected to a surprise attack by the enemy and attained martyrdom blessed are you.” He affirmed that their unjustly shed blood “has revived the Iranian people’s spirit.”

A Historic Farewell in Mashhad

The funeral procession for the Supreme Leader concluded on Saturday in his hometown of Mashhad, where he was laid to rest at the holy shrine of Imam Reza. The burial marked the end of a week-long mourning period that drew an estimated 43 million participants from within Iran and nearly 100 countries worldwide one of the largest funeral gatherings in modern history.

Millions of mourners accompanied the body to the shrine, with the people of Mashhad and visiting pilgrims bidding a poignant farewell, their eyes filled with tears and their hearts heavy with sorrow. Throughout the solemn cortege, crowds openly chanted for vengeance, echoing the defiant pledge made by Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei in his final tribute to the martyred leader.
