The Yemeni Armed Forces managed to shoot down a Saudi reconnaissance drone over Al-Bayda Governorate in central Yemen, using appropriate weaponry.
What follows is the text of the statement posted by the military spokesman General Yahya Saree:
The Yemeni Armed Forces, by the grace of God, shot down a Wing Loong II reconnaissance drone belonging to the Saudi enemy this morning while it was conducting hostile missions over Al-Bayda Governorate in central Yemen. It was targeted with appropriate weaponry, thanks be to God.
The Armed Forces affirm their readiness and vigilance against any violation of our country’s airspace and sovereignty. They will not stand idly by in the face of any aggression, placing their trust in God and relying upon Him.
The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Monday targeting Abha International Airport in response to the Saudi aggression on Sanaa International Airport.
