Settler Violence Escalate Across West Bank as Israeli Occupation Expands Demolitions, Displacement Campaign

Israeli occupation sldiers take up positions during raid in West Bank's Hebron (January 19, 2026).

Palestinians across the occupied West Bank faced a renewed wave of Israeli demolitions and settler attacks on Wednesday, as occupation forces destroyed homes and commercial structures while settlers intensified assaults on communities, property, and access routes in multiple areas.

Israeli occupation forces (IOF), backed by military bulldozers, demolished Palestinian-owned structures in southern Jenin Governorate as part of a widening campaign targeting communities across the West Bank.

Local sources said troops demolished a residential apartment and commercial storage facilities along Anza Road, south of Jenin city.

The demolitions came as Israeli authorities expanded their use of destruction orders across towns, villages, and refugee camps, with Palestinians warning the measures aim to pressure residents into leaving their lands.

In the southern West Bank, Israeli authorities issued demolition notices targeting homes, agricultural structures, and a recreational park in the Hamseh and Suba hamlets south of Al-Khalil (Hebron).

According to local sources, the orders cover at least 10 homes and other facilities, allegedly to clear the way for a road connecting Settlement Road 35 to the Tarousa area, where settlers have recently begun establishing a new outpost.

Settler Violence

Meanwhile, Israeli settlers carried out a series of attacks across the West Bank, injuring Palestinians, damaging vehicles, and disrupting movement.

South of Nablus, Israeli settlers stole electricity poles from the villages of Madama and Burin and used them to provide power to a newly established settlement outpost in the area.

In Beita, south of Nablus, Israeli settlers reportedly blocked ambulance crews from reaching a young Palestinian injured during clashes in the Al-Dhahra area.

Settlers also slashed vehicle tires during an attack in the Al-Aqaba area of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus.

In the Ramallah area, settlers installed a metal gate on the road linking Al-Tireh neighborhood with Ein Qiniya village and carried out bulldozing work in preparation for placing concrete barriers.

Near Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, settlers began establishing a new outpost near Palestinian homes while conducting what residents described as provocative tours through the area.

A Palestinian woman was injured and her family’s vehicle was damaged after settlers threw stones at it on Marj Si’ Plain Road, northeast of Ramallah.
