Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Friday a retaliatory strike on a US special operations command center at Al-Tanf in Syria.

In a statement, the IRGC said: “O Islamic people of Iran, makers of epics, brave and vigilant: In response to the attacks of the child-killing American army, the fighters of the IRGC Aerospace Force, in the eleventh wave of Operation Nasr 2, and under the blessed banner of ‘Ya Aba Abdillah al-Hussein (a.s.),’ and in dedication to the oppressed martyrs of Bampur in Iranshahr, carried out a surprise strike on the enemy’s special operations command center in the al-Tanf region of Syria.”

“In this operation, in addition to destroying a radar system, several special operations helicopters were annihilated. The blood of the martyrs who fell last night in Iranshahr has been avenged, and a large number of criminal American forces were sent to their doom,” the statement read.

It warned, meanwhile, that any attack on the Islamic Republic won’t be unanswered.

“Let it be known that the sons of this nation will not leave any aggression unanswered, and that the response of the Islamic Republic of Iran will remain decisive, escalating, and beyond the enemy’s calculations.”

The IRGC stressed that complete control of the Strait of Hormuz “remains in the hands of our brave fighters, and as long as the US aggression continues, not a single drop of oil or gas will be exported from this region.”

Strikes on US Installations in Oman

In another statement, the IRGC announced strikes by its navy targeting two US sites in Oman.

“Within the framework of the ongoing retaliatory operations carried out by the fighters of Islam, the Naval Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched, at dawn today, a new operation as part of the thirteenth wave of Operation Nasr 2, under the codename “Ya Aba Abdillah Al-Hussein (a.s.),” and dedicated to the steadfast people of the provinces of Khuzestan, Bushehr, Hormozgan, and Sistan and Baluchestan. This operation successfully targeted and destroyed a maritime surveillance radar installation at the Salamah Rocks, as well as an American air surveillance radar positioned in the Ghanim area of the Sultanate of Oman,” the statement read.

“The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps affirms that its retaliatory operations will continue with firmness and determination, in line with the resilience, sacrifices, and steadfastness demonstrated by the Iranian people. The Strait of Hormuz, by the grace of God, remains under the full control and vigilance of the IRGC Navy,” it added.
