The Lebanese Army Command announced that its units began deploying Tuesday morning to the town of Zawtar Al-Gharbiya in the Nabatieh district, as part of ongoing operations in southern Lebanon.
In a statement issued by its Directorate of Orientation, the Command said the move comes “based on ongoing communication and coordination with the Military Coordination Group for Lebanon (MCG4L).”

The Lebanese Army urged citizens to avoid traveling to the area “until the security situation stabilizes,” stressing the need to comply with instructions issued by deployed units to ensure “their safety and the safety of the local population.”

The deployment comes as Israeli occupation forces go ahead with its attacks in violation of Lebanon sovereignty and the ceasefire which took place earlier last month.
Al-Manar correspondent in southern Lebanon reported series of demolition operations carried by Israeli occupation forces at dawn on Tuesday, in the vicinity of Kawneen and Beit Yahoun villages in Bint Jbeil district.
Earlier on Monday, the Lebanese Health Ministry updated the toll of the Israeli war on Lebanon since March 2, recording 4,328 martyrs and 12,230 injuries.
