Residents of southern Lebanese town of Zawtar Al-Gharbiya began on Friday entering the village in a controlled, phased process on the fourth day since the Lebanese Army’s deployment there.
Al-Manar correspondent reported the entry of residents, saying it was organized in batches, with five vehicles allowed in at a time to inspect homes before exiting to allow the next group through the village which lies in Nabatieh district.

Most neighborhoods have been reopened to residents, except for the area overlooking the nearby town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, which remains under Israeli occupation, according to our reporter.
The returns are taking place under the supervision of Lebanese Army units stationed in the area.

The Lebanese Army deployed to the town on Tuesday as part of ongoing operations in southern Lebanon. The deployment was followed by visits by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and Lebanese Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal on Wednesday and Thursday.
