A Palestinian youth opened fire on Israeli settlers during a violent raid on the town of Tell southwest of Nablus on Friday, killing one Israeli settler identified as an officer in the occupation forces and wounding three others, including a settlement security official, according to Israeli media reports.
The shooting came after the young man managed to seize a weapon from one of the settlers amid chaotic clashes that erupted when armed Israeli settlers stormed the village, surrounding homes and hurling flaming objects into a local residence. The house was set ablaze, and flames spread across nearby grassland, with villagers spending hours battling the fire that left the structure completely charred.
In a separate but concurrent escalation, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that four Palestinians were killed and four others wounded three critically by Israeli occupation forces’ fire in the same town. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that its medics attended to three life-threatening injuries, including a 41‑year‑old man shot in the abdomen and thigh who required cardiopulmonary resuscitation at the scene.
Following the shooting, Israeli Army Radio confirmed that occupation forces imposed a strict security cordon around Nablus and the village of Tell, blocking movement and conducting search operations. No official military statement on the events has been issued.
The deadly violence underscores a dramatic surge in Israeli aggression across the occupied West Bank, where near‑daily settler raids, mass detentions, physical assaults, and military incursions have become routine.
