Israeli media admitted the difficulty in determining the identity of the soldiers killed after the Majdal Zoun explosion, adding that investigations had been being conducted into the incident.
Israeli media outlets reported that the Israeli army is continuing its investigation into the explosion that occurred in the town of Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon, which resulted in deaths and injuries among its forces. There are reports of difficulty in identifying the dead due to the intensity of the blast.
The Hebrew-language newspaper “Israel Hayom” stated that the force of the explosion in Majdal Zoun caused significant damage, leading to a lengthy process of identifying the Israeli soldiers killed.
“Yedioth Ahronoth” newspaper reported that the Israeli army is conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the incident, noting that the investigation will focus on the timing of the bomb’s planting and whether it occurred before or after the ceasefire.
Meanwhile, the Israeli media reflected a case of rift between the Israeli Army and the political command. The war minister Yisrael Katz abstained from accusing Hezbollah of carrying out Majdal Zoun blast and assuming responsibility to respond as the military, that has described the explosion as a blatant violation by the Lebanese Resistance Group, wants.
