Southern Lebanon: Destruction Documented as Israeli Occupation Ramps Up Attacks

Screen capture of a video documenting Israeli bulldozing operations in southern Lebanese towns of Al-Tiri and Hadatha (August 2026).

Israeli occupation forces intensified their attacks on southern Lebanon on Friday, unleashing artillery fire, stun grenades, and conducting both bulldozing and demolition operations in multiple towns across the country’s south.

In the southern Lebanese towns of Al-Tiri and Hadatha, Israeli occupation forces carried out bulldozing operations, according to footage filmed from a vantage point near Israeli positions in the occupied villages.

The video was reportedly captured by a member of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), documenting the scale of destruction the Israeli occupation has been causing in the area.

In parallel, Al-Manar correspondent reported Israeli demolition operations in Hadatha and Kawneen.

In Al-Mansouri, the town was subjected to artillery fire by Israeli occupation forces at dawn and during the day on Friday. The nearby Zibqine Valley was also attacked by Israeli artillery, our correspondent in southern Lebanon reported.

Later on Friday, an Israeli light attack drone dropped a stun grenade near a Lebanese Army bulldozer as it was clearing a road in Al-Mansouri, in what appeared to be an attempt to disrupt ongoing recovery operations, according to our reporter.

The Lebanese Army said in a statement that one soldier was lightly hurt in the attack on one of its bulldozers in Al-Mansouri.

Lebanese Army units entered the town overnight and began reopening roads damaged and blocked by recent Israeli airstrikes, the National News Agency reported, as part of efforts to facilitate the return of displaced residents.
