Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei, appointed on Sunday Dr. Mohsen Rezaei as his representative to the Supreme National Security Council, citing Rezaei’s extensive experience and role during Iran’s eight-year Sacred Defense period.
In a decree, Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei said, “Dr. Sayyed Mohsen Rezaei, in view of your valuable experience, I hereby appoint you as my representative to the Supreme National Security Council. You were among the leading figures of the honorable eight-year period of Sacred Defense.”
“I hope you achieve full success and receive divine guidance in carrying out this important responsibility,” His Eminence added.
Major General Mohsen Rezaei has been appointed as the Leader’s representative to Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and as the council’s new secretary.

Sayyed Khamenei also thanked Mohammad Bagher Zolqadr for his tireless and sustained efforts, saying, “We ask Almighty God, under the care of our master, the Remnant of God, may God hasten his reappearance to keep you always a devoted soldier serving the proud Iranian people.”
Separately, Sayyed Mehdi Tabatabaei, deputy for communications and media affairs at the office of Iran’s president, announced that President Masoud Pezeshkian had appointed Rezaei as secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.
Sayyed Khamenei also appointed Mohammad Bagher Zolqadr as his political adviser in a separate decree.
“Dear brother, Dr. Mohammad Bagher Zolqadr, in view of your valuable experience, I hereby appoint you as my political adviser,” His Eminence said.
“I wish you success and divine guidance in carrying out this responsibility and advancing the objectives of the Islamic Revolution. Under the grace of our master, the Lord of the Age and the Remnant of God, may God hasten his reappearance,” His Eminence concluded.
