The Israeli circles hailed the remarks of the Lebanese President Joseph Aoun who stressed several times that Lebanon’s exclusive choice would be the direct talks with ‘Israel’.
The Zionist circles considered that Aoun excludes the military confrontation from his choices, adding that his remarks about the feasibility of the direct talks comprise a mere show off.
Amri Hayeem, Arab affairs expert, said that all the Lebanese statements about delaying the upcoming round of talks aim at local political gains.
Even if ‘Israel’ escalates its attacks on Lebanon, Aoun would not stop the direct negotiations, he added.
The Zionist circles went also to demand the cancellation of the Lebanese law that criminalizes any contact with ‘Israel’.
