US President Donald Trump expressed clear frustration, saying he does not know who he is negotiating with in Iran.
In his latest speech on Friday, Trump said: “I don’t know who the hell I’m negotiating with in Iran. It’s actually one of my biggest problems. No one wants to be president there. They say, ‘Who wants to be president?’ ‘No, no, I don’t want to.’”
He claimed that Tehran wants an agreement “but has not yet presented acceptable terms.”

I don’t know who the hell to deal with in Iran. It’s actually one of my biggest problems.

Keeping up his disinformation-driven rhetoric towards Iran, Trump said that energy prices will “fall once the standoff with Tehran ends.”
“As soon as we are done with the Islamic Republic of Iran, oil will drop to a level even lower than it was just recently.”
Hormuz “American Land”
He reiterated that his country “will never allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon,” adding that he considers the Strait of Hormuz to be “American land.”
“We cannot allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon… We went and stopped them. They will never have a nuclear weapon. They want a deal so badly that we don’t even know if we want it ourselves,” Trump stated.
“Because I now consider the Strait of Hormuz American land. It’s American land.”
"I view the Strait of Hormuz as an American territory right now."
