Iran has doubled its production of defense weapons and equipment over the past year, the spokesman for the Defense Ministry said, stressing that domestic production has continued uninterrupted even during wartime.
Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik said the rapid and sustained production of homegrown weapons and ammunition allows Iran to quickly replace equipment used on the battlefield.
He noted that production has continued alongside the use of Iranian-made defense systems, supported by strategic stockpiles accumulated over previous years.

Talaei-Nik said Iran’s defense industry has doubled its annual output from July 2025 to July 2026 compared with the previous year, despite limited strikes on certain defense-industry facilities during the 12-day war imposed by the Zionist regime.
He added that since late February, when the US-Israeli war of aggression of began, defense production has not only continued but has increased by more than threefold for some strategic and priority items needed for wartime requirements, contrary to claims by US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Talaei-Nik also stressed the need to protect military information and defense secrets, saying secrecy is essential to prevent vulnerabilities and avoid giving adversaries an opportunity to launch surprise attacks.
He explained that this was one of the reasons Iran has refrained from holding a military exhibition on Defense Industry Day over the past two years and has significantly reduced weapons and equipment unveilings.
