Hezbollah offered condolences on Friday to Iraq’s Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Al-Sistani on the demise of his brother, Sayyed Hadi.
In a statement, Hezbollah’s Media Relations Office said: “With great satisfaction with God’s decree and submission to His will, we received the news of the passing away of the brother of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Al-Husseini Al-Sistani, the eminent scholar, His Eminence Sayyed Hadi Al-Sistani, may God have mercy on him.”
“With his passing, the Hawza institution has lost a luminous beacon of guidance and piety—a distinguished scholar who devoted his noble life to righteous deeds and to the service of religion, Islam, and the school of Ahl Al-Bayt, peace be upon them,” the statement read.

In this context, Hezbollah extended “deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies” to Ayatollah Sayyed Al-Sistani, his family, religious seminary, and to the late scholar’s admirers and students.
“We beseech Almighty God to envelop the departed in His boundless mercy, to grant him a spacious abode in Paradise, and to bestow upon His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani patience, solace, and strength. We also pray that God prolong his noble life and preserve him as a priceless treasure for Islam and the Muslim nation,” the statement concluded.
Earlier on Friday, Sayyed Hadi Al-Sistani passed away, the supreme religious authority announced.
