West Bank: Overnight Raids Leave Dozens Detained, Injured

In a sweeping overnight operation, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed multiple communities across the West Bank, detaining at least a dozen Palestinians and clashing with residents in a series of raids that extended from Jenin to Qalqilya.

Local sources reported that IOF units entered the an-Naseem neighborhood of eastern Jenin before dawn Sunday, seizing a young man from his home. Simultaneous raids targeted the towns of Ya’bad and Deir Ghazaleh, while forces also broke into a shelter housing displaced families from Jenin refugee camp near the Arab American University, detaining another citizen.

In Ramallah’s al-Am’ari refugee camp, south of al-Bireh, two young men were hospitalized after Israeli soldiers severely beat them during a raid, according to medical staff.

The crackdown intensified in Tulkarem, where three residents were abducted from their homes following incursions into several neighborhoods. In Nablus governorate, forces detained one man in Beita and another in Beit Dajan—though the latter was released hours later. In the village of Tell, southwest of Nablus, troops fired tear gas and stun grenades, ransacked the Bir al‑Ghazzal area, and confiscated multiple vehicles.

The heaviest detention tally came in Qalqilya, where six young men were taken into custody after IOF forces swept through the city.

No official statement from the Israeli occupation military has been issued regarding the operations. Palestinian officials have condemned the raids as collective punishment, while local families await word on the fate of their loved ones.
