The Iranian Armed Forces launched a massive response to the US aggression on the Islamic Republic on Tuesday, firing a large number of ballistic missiles on US Marines barracks in Jordan, killing a large number of American soldiers.
IRGC issued a statement affirming that the attack came in response to the US massacre against the civilians in Sirik area, stressing that the Iranian response will continue.
What follows is the full text of the IRGC statement:
The terrorist and defeated American army, incapable of direct confrontation with the fighters of Islam, launched a brutal attack on a residential home in Sirik that was hosting the wedding ceremony of two pure young people, turning it into a scene of bloodshed. By causing the martyrdom and injury of nearly fifty of our beloved people, it rekindled the memory of the atrocities committed at the Minab school and the Lamerd stadium.
In this criminal attack, the child-killing American regime has once again revealed the depth of its hatred and enmity toward the Iranian people through the martyrdom of several individuals, including a child.
In response to this brutal act, the brave fighters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force, in the second wave of Operation ‘Punishing the Aggressor’ under the sacred code ‘O Messenger of Allah (PBUH)’, launched a dense ballistic missile attack on the U.S. Marines’ barracks in Jordan, known as ‘Camp Titin’ located on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba. This resulted in the death of a large number of American forces and the destruction of several key facilities and enemy attack helicopters.
The retaliatory operation by the forces of Islam continues.”
IRGC had announced shooting down the 50th advanced MQ-9 drone belonging to the attacking U.S. military using a modern air and space defense system.
