Iran retaliated for the US aggression on its soil by targeting US bases across Kuwait, Bahrain and UAE in operations carried out on Wednesday by both the Iranian Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).
The (IRGC) said its forces have struck the command compound and living quarters of the US commander at Kuwait’s Ali Al-Salem Air Base, setting fire to a drone hangar and deployment ramp and destroying a number of drones.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the IRGC’s Public Relations Department said the operation was carried out in response to a US attack on civilians in Iran.
The retaliation came after US forces turned a wedding in Sirik, southern Iran, into a mourning ceremony by bombing a residential house, it said.
Nearly 70 civilians were affected in the attack, with five people, including a child, martyred.
“In response to this crime, at dawn today, the brave fighters of the IRGC Ground Force, simultaneously with attacks on US bases in Jordan, Bahrain and Erbil, carried out a combined missile-and-drone strike on the command center and living quarters of the US commander at Ali Al-Salem base,” the statement said.
The IRGC added that the attack killed a number of US personnel and was followed by strikes on a drone hangar and the ramp used to deploy drones involved in attacks against Iran. It said several drones were destroyed and the hangar was set ablaze.

Addressing the Kuwaiti people, the IRGC said, “You know well about our affection and affinity with you. What pains and concerns us is the occupation of Islamic lands by the child-killing and terrorist US military.”
The statement added that the attacks were intended to help “cleanse the pure land and generous homeland of Kuwait from the presence of American infidels.”
The IRGC expressed hope for “the destruction of US domination and the Zionist regime and the freedom and independence of the noble people of Kuwait from the occupying aggressors.”
Iranian Army Retaliation
For its part, the Iranian Army announced a fresh wave of drone attacks against US military bases in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, saying dozens of ‘Arash’ loitering munitions targeted radar systems and US troop positions in response to attacks on innocent Iranian civilians.
The Army said the attacks were carried out from the early hours of Wednesday as the 30th stage of Operation Thunderbolt.
“Dozens of the Army’s loitering munitions targeted radar systems and the locations of US forces at the Al Dhafra and Al Minhad bases in the UAE,” the Army said in a statement.

It added that radar installations and gathering points of US forces at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain were once again subjected to heavy attacks by Arash loitering munitions.
The Army described Al Dhafra as one of the “important operational centers” of the US in the region, saying the base is used for air operations, reconnaissance, surveillance and support missions.
The statement stressed that the Army’s response to US attacks on civilians would continue.
“The enemy’s attack on residential areas and its targeting of a wedding ceremony is a clear instance of a war crime and exposes the evil nature of ‘American human rights,’” the Army said.
The Iranian retaliation followed a fresh series of US acts of aggression, which hit the counties of Chabahar and Konarak in Sistan and Baluchestan, among other areas.
The terrorist US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed in a statement that it launched airstrikes in retaliation for what it termed attempts by Iran’s IRGC to deploy sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz and a missile barrage directed at a US military base in Jordan – a claim rejected by Iran’s military sources.
This latest flare-up comes just days after the US conducted strikes on the Iranian island of Larak in the Strait of Hormuz, which Washington claimed was aimed at preventing Tehran from planting mines.
In response, Iran launched missile and drone attacks targeting US forces stationed in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.
