Southern Lebanon has come under at least 655 Israeli attacks in the 67 days since the signing of the US-sponsored “Framework Agreement” on June 26, according to field statistics compiled by Al-Akhbar, highlighting the scale of destruction as Lebanese authorities remain unable to halt the attacks.
From June 26 through August 31, Israeli warplanes, drones and ground forces carried out airstrikes, demolitions, explosions, shelling and other attacks across southern Lebanon, with hardly a day passing without an attack.
Airstrikes and Demolitions
More than 190 Israeli airstrikes were carried out by Israeli warplanes and drones during the period, accounting for roughly 41% of the 465 documented violation, bombings and explosions.

More than 225 bombings and explosions targeted homes, buildings and residential neighborhoods, while around 50 additional attacks were carried out in simultaneous “chains,” although a precise count of the explosions in each series was unavailable.

Together, the 465 documented airstrikes, bombings and explosions amount to an average of nearly seven attacks per day.
Ground-based demolitions and bombings accounted for the larger share of these attacks, reflecting a systematic Israeli policy of direct destruction targeting homes, residential blocks, agricultural land and essential infrastructure, particularly in border villages.
Shelling and Other Attacks
The newspaper documented approximately 190 additional attacks, including heavy artillery and tank fire, drone-dropped bombs and incendiary materials, sweeping operations and repeated bursts of machine-gun fire.
Combined with the 465 airstrikes, bombings and explosions, the attacks bring the total to at least 655 in 67 days, or nearly 10 attacks per day.
Most Targeted Areas
Nabatieh Al-Fawqa topped the list with around 60 documented attacks, followed by Mansouri with approximately 50.
Kfar Tebnit recorded 23 attacks, mostly bombings, while Haddatha, Zawtar Al-Sharqiya and Taybeh each recorded 16. The Mansouri-Majdal Zoun area saw 14 attacks, Qantara 13, and Khiam and Markaba 12 each.
In several towns, attacks were associated with ground incursions accompanied by the planting of explosives and the demolition of homes and residential buildings, leaving extensive destruction.
The figures, Al-Akhbar said, go beyond a tally of attacks, exposing the consequences of the Lebanese government’s inability to stop ongoing Israeli attacks.
“These figures are not merely a field tally of Israeli attacks, but also a stark reflection of the dire political situation in Lebanon. The authorities, which rushed to tout the “Framework Agreement” as a diplomatic and political achievement, now appear powerless to stem the daily destruction of southern villages, as Israeli attacks continue unabated.”
