Hezbollah MP Hasan Ezzeddine accused Lebanon’s ruling political authority of complicity in the Israeli bloodshed caused in southern Lebanon, saying its silence over massacres targeting civilians, including children and women, makes it a partner in “every drop of blood” shed across Lebanon.
“The crimes committed by the Israeli enemy against our people in Al-Mansouri, Zebdine, Kfar Tibnit, and especially Kfar Rumman, where children and women were among the martyrs, were carried out while the ruling Lebanese political authority did not utter a single word,” MP Ezzeddine said on Thursday.
“This authority is an accomplice in this blood that has been shed in recent days, and in every drop of blood that falls on the land of the south, the suburbs, the Bekaa, or anywhere in Lebanon,” he added.
A massacre was committed in the southern Lebanese town of Kfar Rumman as the Israeli army launched wide-scale assault across Nabatieh region.

The member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance bloc was speaking at a memorial ceremony honoring martyr Hasan Wahid Al-Uzair at the Imam Al-Kadhim complex in Beirut’s Dahiyeh (southern suburb), attended by scholars, public figures, martyrs’ families and local residents.
MP Ezzeddine questioned whether the Lebanese authorities had reassessed the political and regional landscape, particularly developments between the United States and Iran, and whether they intended to reconsider their direct negotiations with ‘Israel’.
“Did this authority stop direct negotiations with the Israeli enemy, which have resulted in absolutely nothing amid the continuation of Zionist crimes?” he wondered.
He said continued concessions only embolden the Israeli enemy to intensify its attacks.
“The more the authority makes concessions to the enemy, the more ferocious this enemy becomes, practicing extermination, killing, destruction and displacement,” the Hezbollah lawmaker said.

He accused the authorities of clinging to negotiations despite the failure of this course to achieve a genuine ceasefire or halt Israeli attacks, bulldozing, destruction, displacement and massacres.
“Iran to Emerge as Central Power”
Turning to Iran, MP Ezzeddine said the Islamic Republic was no longer fighting solely in self-defense, but had assumed a broader role in confronting US domination and supporting “the free, the oppressed, and the honorable people in the world.”
He said US intimidation and hegemony in the region had “fallen and shattered on the rock of Iranian steadfastness,” arguing that the regional confrontation would produce strategic shifts extending beyond the battlefield.
MP Ezzeddine said Iran would emerge as a central power in shaping the security of the Gulf and the wider region, while also becoming a stronger military power after moving “from a state of defense to a state of offense.”
He said Iran had demonstrated its ability to strike US sites that threaten it and respond to “any aggression or crime planned by America,” positioning Tehran to play a role in shaping a new international order based on “pluralism, justice, and humanity.”
The Hezbollah MP stressed that the regional confrontation would inevitably affect Lebanon, noting that Iran had consistently placed Lebanon high on its agenda in previous and potential future negotiations.
