The Yemeni Armed Forces shot down a Saudi Karayel armed reconnaissance aircraft while it was conducting a hostile activity over Yemen’s Hajjah Governorate, military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said.
“With God’s help, the Yemeni Armed Forces were able to shoot down an armed reconnaissance aircraft of the Karayel type belonging to the Saudi enemy,” Brig. Gen. Saree said in a statement.

He said the aircraft was targeted “while carrying out hostile acts in the airspace of Hajjah Governorate,” adding that it was brought down using a “suitable weapon.”
The Yemeni Armed Forces have previously announced the downing of Saudi reconnaissance drones, including Karayel aircraft.
