Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held separate telephone conversations with his Turkish and Iraqi counterparts, discussing regional developments, bilateral relations and the need for diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation of conflict.
In the conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Saturday night, the two foreign ministers reviewed the latest regional developments and stressed the need to prevent an escalation of tensions and the expansion of the crisis across the region.
Araqchi and Fidan also emphasized the continuation of consultations and diplomatic efforts to help establish stability and calm.
In another telephone call with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, Araqchi discussed bilateral issues, regional developments and ongoing processes with his Iraqi counterpart.
The two ministers referred to key issues in Iran-Iraq relations, emphasizing the importance of maintaining stability and security along their shared borders and the need for continued coordination.
They also stressed the importance of adopting responsible approaches toward regional developments and preventing the escalation of tensions and the spread of conflict across the region.
