Spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced in a statement two qualitative military operations against Saudi targets in response to the Saudi aggression and ongoing siege.
What follows is the full text of the statement:
The criminal Saudi enemy continues its unjust aggression and oppressive siege against our country and our people for twelve years, and has escalated its aggression this week by launching more than 450 airstrikes targeting most Yemeni governorates.
In response to this brutal aggression against our country and people, the Yemeni Armed Forces, with Allah’s help, carried out two qualitative military operations:
The first targeted the Aramco facility in Yanbu with dozens of ballistic missiles and drones, the strikes were precise and direct, thanks be to Allah, causing large fires and widespread destruction.
The second targeted the Khamis Mushait Air Base with a number of ballistic missiles, and the strikes were also precise, thanks be to Allah.
The Yemeni Armed Forces will continue to defend our country and our people, and will teach the criminal Saudi enemy lessons they will never forget, relying on Allah Almighty and placing their trust in Him, the best of protectors and the best of helpers.
We will continue our military operations deep inside Saudi territory, targeting Saudi troop buildups, and maintaining the equation of “a siege for a siege” and “an escalation for an escalation” until the aggression ceases and the blockade on our beloved country is lifted.
