Israeli enemy army radio reported that the Israeli army has significantly reduced the size of its combat forces in the security zone in southern Lebanon in recent days, clarifying that the number of brigades in the sector has decreased from 8 to 6, and many reserve forces have been released.
Four brigades have left Lebanon in recent days – the Commando Brigade (which operated in the Ali Al-Taher ridge), the Golani Brigade (which fought in the Beaufort area), and two reserve brigades – Reserve Paratroopers Brigade 55 and Reserve Armored Brigade 4 (Kiryati), the report added.
In place of the four brigades that left, only two regular brigades entered the sector – the 188th Armored Brigade and the Bislamach Training Brigade, it noted
Thus, the number of combat brigades in the security zone in Lebanon has decreased from 8 brigades to 6 in total, the report added.
“A military source familiar with the details told Israeli army radio that the reduction in forces is an attempt to ease the burden on manpower, particularly reserve manpower, after many months of fighting in Lebanon and in light of the operational circumstances that allow it. All details were published with the approval of the security authorities.”
