Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf challenged US claims that Iran does not control the Strait of Hormuz, pointing to the premium embedded in oil prices as evidence of the market’s assessment of the situation.
“The market prices a big premium, $35 over pre-invasion and $50 using dated/actual,” Ghalibaf said in a post on X, accusing Washington of promoting a misleading narrative over Iran’s control of the strategic waterway.
