Iranian Authorities Continue to Pursue Sabotage Cells

Iranian authorities continue to pursue the sabotage cells responsible for organizing and directing the recent killings and riots in Iranian cities.

The relevant authorities announced arrests in various parts of the country as part of ongoing security operations targeting networks suspected of involvement in activities aimed at destabilizing the country, allegedly orchestrated by Mossad and the CIA.

The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and National Security also announced the arrest of a terrorist cell in Sistan and Baluchestan province and the killing of one of its operational leaders during an armed clash.

Arrest of Armed Terrorists in Ilam

In Ilam province, a terrorist cell with international ties was apprehended. This cell was responsible for acts of sabotage against public and government buildings, banks, the burning of the Friday prayer leader’s office and the Grand Mosque in Sarabila, blocking roads, displays of armed force, and threats against citizens.

This comes as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that any new attack on Iran would be met with a decisive response. He added, “America’s approach must change, and it must deal with Iran on the basis of mutual respect.” In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Araqchi continued, “Tehran has always preferred peace to war and is ready for a fair agreement. American hostilities, from sanctions to military attacks, have failed.”
