The Yemeni Armed Forces carried out two military operations targeting Saudi Aramco facilities in Riyadh and the Khurais area, Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said on Sunday.

Brig. Gen. Saree said the operations were conducted using local-made ballistic missiles and drones.

“Both operations achieved their objectives successfully, thanks to God Almighty. The strikes were precise, and caused large fires at the targeted sites,” the statement read.

The spokesman warned that the Yemeni Armed Forces would continue targeting Saudi military bases and oil facilities, vowing further operations “until the Saudi aggression ends and the blockade on Yemen is lifted.”

In a separate statement later on Sunday, Brig. Gen. Saree said Yemeni forces intercepted two formations of Saudi F-15 fighter jets over Taiz Governorate using locally produced surface-to-air missiles, forcing the aircraft to leave the area.

Brig. Gen. Saree said Saudi warplanes carried out 106 airstrikes and missile attacks over the previous 24 hours against civilian areas in Sana’a and the governorates of Al-Jawf, Taiz, Amran, Hajjah, and Sa’dah.

He said the attacks involved F-15 and Typhoon aircraft operating from Khamis Mushait and Taif airbases, while missile strikes were launched from Najran.

According to the Yemeni military spokesman, the latest attacks brought the total number of Saudi-led airstrikes and missile attacks since the start of the escalation to 1,516.

Earlier on Sunday, Brig. Gen. Saree announced that Yemeni Armed Forces repelled and targeted Saudi reinforcements in eastern Al-Jawf after attempts to advance in the area failed.

In a statement, he said the operation “resulted in the destruction of a large number of vehicles belonging to the Saudi reinforcements and the killing and wounding of dozens of personnel.”
