IRGC on Anniversary of “Al-Aqsa Flood”: Any New Aggression Against Iran Will Be Met with a Painful and Destructive Response

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned, in a statement, that any miscalculation or new aggression against Iran will face a “painful and destructive” response, emphasizing that the Axis of Resistance remains cohesive despite pressures and the martyrdom of its leaders.

This statement was issued on the third anniversary of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood.”

The statement, which was issued on the third anniversary of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood,” noted that the operation executed by Palestinian resistance fighters and Hamas on October 7, 2023, constituted one of the largest operations in the history of resistance, shattering the security infrastructure of the Israeli entity. It added that the three years following the operation have witnessed a shift in strategic equations in favor of the Axis of Resistance, alongside structural crises and consecutive defeats for the Israeli entity and the United States.

IRGC recalled Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei’s description of the operation as a “future-shaping event,” stating that it shattered the myth of the invincible Israeli military and established the resistance front as an undeniable strategic reality. It highlighted coordinated confrontation with the Israeli entity and its American and regional supporters across Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Iran, and the occupied Palestinian territories.

The statement noted that recent field developments demonstrate coordination among members of the Axis of Resistance in facing American, Israeli, and allied threats, pointing to precise and destructive operations that dealt severe blows to the Israeli entity and the United States.

Referring to the “second and third imposed wars” as well as Operations “Victory” and “Punishing the Aggressor,” the IRGC asserted that Washington failed to achieve its stated goals of supporting the Israeli entity and threatening Iran, losing prestige in global public opinion instead. It added that the Iranian Armed Forces’ response proved the end of the “era of threat without cost.”

It further observed that recent regional events reflect the resistance’s capability to counter the U.S., the Israeli entity, and their allies both within and outside the region, reiterating the warning against launching a new war on Iran.

The statement also pointed to worsening economic, political, and international conditions for the Israeli entity, as well as compounding challenges inside the United States—particularly following what it described as Iran’s closure and tight management of the Strait of Hormuz, inflicting severe damage on American and Israeli leadership.

IRGC affirmed that the Axis of Resistance stands resilient despite pressure and the loss of senior leaders, drawing on regional analysts’ assessments regarding the failure of Washington and the Israeli entity to weaken, defeat, or divide Iran as a regional power.

The statement concluded by commemorating Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif, and other fallen Palestinian fighters, reiterating commitment to the path of resistance until the liberation of Jerusalem and the end of the Israeli entity. It recalled Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s pledge of liberating Palestine “from the river to the sea,” emphasizing that the Axis of Resistance has become more united, capable, and prepared, and that fortifications will not protect its adversari
