IRGC Navy: Our Forces Control Strait of Hormuz, Will Track Any Violating Vessel

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy announced in a statement, “In execution of the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and in response to the demand of the Iranian public to assert sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, the naval personnel of the IRGC Navy hold management over the Strait.”

“They have not allowed and will not allow the presence of aggressor militaries in this region, and they will deal decisively with the enemy’s malicious attempts to obstruct this management.”

As part of executing this mission, a gigantic vessel carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) named “NV Sunshine,” belonging to the company “Natuwit,” which intended to cross via the illegal southern route of the Strait of Hormuz, was hit hours ago, causing a widespread fire in the engine room and propulsion system section, the statement added.

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy added: “As of now, confronting violating vessels will not be limited to the Strait of Hormuz; rather, any ship passing through an unauthorized corridor anywhere in the region will be pursued, and its punishment will be guaranteed.”
