Palestinian Martyred as Israeli Occupation Forces Launch Widespread Raids Across West Bank and Jerusalem

A young Palestinian was martyred after being shot yesterday by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in northern al-Khalil, while various areas in the West Bank and Jerusalem witnessed widespread military raids on Saturday, involving house searches and the firing of live ammunition.

The Palestinian health ministry said it was informed by the civil affairs authority that 32-year-old Shadi Ajarma, from the town of Beit Ula, had succumbed to wounds sustained after being shot by Israeli forces near the Nabi Yunis junction in northern al-Khalil on Friday.

The ministry added today that the Israeli army still refuses to hand over Ajarma’s body.

Meanwhile, the IOF stormed a number of towns, cities, and refugee camps across the West Bank and Jerusalem on Saturday morning, conducting house searches and firing live ammunition, stun grenades, and tear gas canisters in several areas.

In Qalqilya, Israeli occupation forces raided the city and the towns of Azzun and Kafr Qaddum. Several homes were reportedly searched during the raid in Kafr Qaddum.

Israeli enemy also fired flares over the al-Marj area of Qalqilya City and spread near the separation wall in the area, accompanied by an ambulance. A helicopter took part in an aerial search operation in the area.

In Nablus, Israeli occupation forces also raided the village of Awarta, as well as the new Askar refugee camp and al-Ain refugee camp, as part of a large-scale military operation that targets various areas across the governorate.

In Tulkarem, Israeli forces raided the town of Illar and ransacked the homes of several former prisoners.

IOF raids also took place in the town of Tammun, south of Tubas, where Israeli forces encircled a house, as well as in the city of Jericho and the town of Turmus Ayya in northern Ramallah.

In al-Khalil, Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades at citizens near a wedding venue in the Wadi as-Simiya area of Beit Awa town. The IOF also raided the town of Beit Ummar and the city of Dura.

Israeli forces also raided a house in the Khirbet Musallam area after they stormed the city of Dura, while other parts of al-Khalil province witnessed attacks by extremist Jewish settlers targeting Palestinians and their property.

In Bethlehem, Israeli forces raided the town of Teqoa, southeast of the city, and patrolled its streets.

In northern Jerusalem, Israeli forces raided Qalandia refugee camp and the town of Kafr Aqab while firing live ammunition and stun grenades. They closed the main road at the Qalandia junction.
