Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri commented on the massive Israeli strikes which targeted residential areas in south Lebanon on Wednesday, saying condemnation statements are no longer useful to Lebanon and the Lebanese people.
In remarks carried by local media late on Wednesday, Speaker Berri underlined importance of national unity.
“What will save Lebanon, liberate its land, and fortify it against Israeli aggression is national unity, and only national unity again.”
He ordered the Civil Defense of Al-Risala Islamic Scouts, affiliated with Amal Movement, as well as the Services Office of the Amal Movement, to put their capabilities in a bid to serve the families affected by the Israeli attacks.
