Iranian Army spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami-Nia confirmed on Friday that Iran’s air defense capabilities are now superior to what they were during the “Ramadan War,” and that new equipment has been integrated into the country’s combat systems.

“In recent weeks, we have downed several American drones,” Akrami-Nia said. “Furthermore, our air defense forces have developed and implemented new operational and technical plans under the framework of the Air Defense Command.”

He added that Iran has trained to execute joint, innovative operations and has significantly expanded air defense coverage across the country compared to the period prior to the war.

The spokesman also noted that during this period, joint exercises were conducted with the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to enhance coordination between the two sides.

In the same context, Akrami-Nia pointed out that American warships have moved to distances exceeding 500 kilometers from the Gulf coast, adding that thanks to the operational plans currently being executed, they will be compelled to retreat even further in the coming days.
