Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani reaffirmed his country’s continued support for Lebanon following talks with President Joseph Aoun, highlighting bilateral cooperation, energy projects and regional security developments.

Speaking after the meeting, the Qatari premier said discussions focused on bilateral relations and ways to implement joint projects that would contribute to regional security, stability and prosperity.

He stressed that Lebanon’s energy sector was a central priority, noting that Qatar was seeking to provide comprehensive solutions in this field.

“We will work during our forthcoming meetings with the Lebanese prime minister to advance the projects already agreed upon,” he said.

The talks also addressed regional and international developments, particularly the situation in South Lebanon and Israeli actions against the country.
