Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Friday told a delegation representing residents of the southern border towns that the Lebanese State “is obligated” to help them.
Receiving the delegation at Baabda Palace, President Aoun said international contacts “are constantly demanding a halt to Israeli attacks.”
In this context, the Lebanese president stressed that “Lebanon’s security is inseparable from the security of its South,” as announced in a post by the Lebanese Presidency on X platform.
He pointed to that the Lebanese authorities are working in coordination with the Lebanese Army Command to strengthen its deployment in the border villages.
