Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has declared that Tehran and Moscow have never cooperated as closely as they do now, marking an unprecedented level in the history of bilateral ties.
In a post on his X account early Tuesday, following his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Tehran on Monday, Araghchi wrote, “Hosted FM Lavrov for timely talks in Tehran.”
The Iranian foreign minister added, “We covered everything from Europe to West Asia, including Lebanon, Palestine, Ukraine and Yemen. Also focused on expansion of economic and nuclear cooperation.”
Araghchi emphasized, “Never in our history have Iran and Russia worked as closely as now.”
The remarks underscore the deepening strategic alignment between the two nations amid shifting geopolitical dynamics across Europe and West Asia.
