Hezbollah Commemorates Martyrs in Nabatieh as Former Minister Bayram Declares Resistance’s Role in Any Solution Non-Negotiable

Former Minister Mustafa Bayram delivered a defiant address during a Hezbollah commemoration ceremony honoring the martyrs of the town of Zoutar al-Sharqiya, held at the Husseiniya in Nabatieh, underscoring the resistance’s central role in shaping any future political resolution.

Bayram characterized the Zionist project as an “expansionist, criminal enterprise that recognizes no boundaries,” asserting that the resistance remains the primary obstacle to its ambitions and will continue to confront it in defense of the people’s pride, dignity, and right to a free and honorable life. He cautioned against narratives that hold the victim responsible for the crimes of the oppressor, noting that current regional developments expose the expansionist nature of a project that flagrantly disregards international law and humanitarian and ethical standards.

The former minister stressed that the steadfastness of the resistance and Iran has thwarted key objectives of the hostile project. He explained that the resistance’s actions, in light of regional developments, stem from an awareness that geopolitical shifts are redrawing the map of the region—and that those who do not secure a seat at the negotiating table risk becoming the very subject of those negotiations.

Bayram affirmed that the resistance has secured a fundamental place in any potential resolution, asserting that a comprehensive and total withdrawal, the release of prisoners, the return of the people to their villages with honor and dignity, and reconstruction efforts befitting their sacrifices and resilience are non-negotiable rights.

Turning to Lebanon’s internal governance, Bayram criticized the performance of the Lebanese authorities, arguing that entering into negotiations with the enemy despite the acknowledged futility of doing so grants the enemy a sense of legitimacy to achieve what it failed to attain through war. He posited that a conflict exists between the vision of a capable state one that protects sovereignty and national unity while preserving the elements of national strength and a failed governing authority. He emphasized that the Lebanese Army must remain a symbol of sacrifice, honor, and loyalty, rather than a tool to carry out objectives that the enemy itself has been unable to achieve.

In the same vein, Bayram stressed that the resistance requires no external legitimacy as long as the occupation persists. He criticized what he described as the targeting of the resistance even as Israeli aggressions are overlooked, affirming that the resistance continues despite various challenges and neglect. He noted that the steadfastness and dignity of the people, along with their support for the resistance, serve as a fundamental pillar in confronting the expansionist agenda.

Bayram further pointed out that the United States has lost its capacity to coerce or persuade, while ‘Israel’ has become exposed to the world due to its practices and assaults against the Palestinian people, their land, and their property.

Concluding his remarks, Bayram asserted that the Zionist project has become a burden on humanity. He expressed confidence that the Zionist regime is destined to collapse and that Palestine will return to its original inhabitants.
