Member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, MP Dr. Ali Fayad, affirmed that potential changes arising or that may arise from the Israeli and American elections will not change anything in the resistance’s positions and calculations—neither regarding its right to defend its country, people, and self and its pursuit of liberating the land, nor regarding its evaluation of the Lebanese authority’s performance and choices, which failed completely and achieved nothing in defending the Lebanese people or offering any hope of liberating their land.
MP Fayad’s remarks came during a commemorative ceremony held by Hezbollah for Islamic resistance martyrs in the town of Mays al-Jabal, at the Imam al-Mujtaba (AS) complex in Saint Therese, in the presence of a number of scholars, dignitaries, prominent figures, families of the martyrs, and a crowd of citizens.
MP Fayad said: “Both Trump and Netanyahu paid the price for their futile battles, which achieved no noteworthy gains with the Islamic Republic of Iran, but rather left negative impacts on America itself in particular, on global energy security, and on America’s allies.”
Fayad considered that we are facing a transformation whose successive repercussions we may witness within the American camp and its allies, reflecting turbulence and confusion in managing choices and the ability to achieve meaningful accomplishments other than destruction and killing. Conversely, Iran and its allies appear in a position of cohesion, clarity, steadfastness, and capability to manage the confrontation in a way that foils the enemy’s ability to achieve its goals and drives it into the heart of an inescapable quagmire.
Fayad added: “The most important issue is to benefit from the eloquent lessons demonstrated by these developments, especially by the Lebanese who face this ongoing Israeli encroachment and are daily subjected to its aggressiveness and the war of extermination it persists in.”
Fayad stressed that the Lebanese must realize that the results of the confrontation have not yet been definitively determined, and that balance with the Israeli enemy—which violates everything—will only be possible through their steadfastness and resilience, and by relying on the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has proven its credibility, effectiveness, and the impossibility of anyone bypassing it. This role has made ending the war in the region, stopping the aggression on Lebanon, withdrawing from its land, and protecting its sovereignty and unity the primary item in its negotiations with the Americans.
MP Fayad considered that exiting the Lebanese quagmire will not be possible outside this path, and that the Islamic Republic is paying from its own pocket for this stance, in support and backing of the Lebanese people, and without any special, hidden, or declared ambitions or gains.
He emphasized that keenness on Lebanese interests dictates that the Lebanese authority reassess its position with the aim of rebalancing its policies and bets, moving from a state of stagnation, imbalance, and lack of effectiveness to what opens a window to the possibility of achieving goals.
