Lebanese Government Approves Reconstruction Plan of Structures Destroyed by Israeli Enemy in 2024 War

The Lebanese government approved the reconstruction plan of all the structures that were destroyed by the Israeli war on Lebanon in 2024.

The Council of Ministers convened its regular session at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at Baabda Palace, chaired by President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, and attended by Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, and ministers.

Prior to the session, President Aoun and Prime Minister Salam held a bilateral meeting to review current general situation in the country and the latest developments.

The cabinet reviewed a forty-item agenda that includes agreements, draft laws, draft decrees, appointments, and employment matters, most notably a presentation by the Ministry of Environment outlining the reference framework for methodologies and mechanisms of intervention within the reconstruction process. In addition, the Cabinet address urgent matters requiring appropriate decisions.

In the aftermath, Minister of Communication Paul Morcos announced that the cabinet approved the reconstruction plan in addition to an agreement on swapping prisoners with the Syrian authorities as well as other items.
