Hezbollah MP: National Sovereignty Not subject to Maneauvering, Our Blood is Not in Vain

MP Hasan Fadlallah, Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc during a ceremony on birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (AJF).

Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Hasan Fadlallah stressed that the national sovereignty is neither a testing ground, bargaining chip, nor an object of maneuvering.

In a local ceremony on Tuesday, the lawmaker said the Resistance in Lebanon is an essential part of the state and a true partner in it, expressing Hezbollah’s full readiness “to defend this partnership and work to compel the state to assume its national responsibilities by all available means.”

MP Fadlallah said that Hezbollah’s message to the Lebanese official was clear: The Resistance is firm that no more concessions would be offered.

“Do not think about any further concessions, we are not prepared today to discuss anything else, as long as the Israeli aggression continues, and precious blood is being shed daily on the land of the South and in all other regions.”

He noted that the Resistance agreed to the deployment of the Lebanese Army south of the Litani River and agreed to the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 as well as the cessation of hostilities agreement, out of its concern for the country and its people and its desire to avoid another war.

“The resistance never wanted war in the first place; rather, the enemy imposed it,” he said.

“Despite the fact that the Resistance having conceded to all its demands, the enemy continues to demand more, without the international sponsors offering any real guarantees.”

“At this stage, we must endure and be patient. Our blood is not in vain, and our martyred youth are the dearest of our youth and the most precious of our blood. We always have hope for the future, God willing.”
