Loyalty to Resistance Parliamentary Bloc in Lebanon held Thursday its regular session to discuss a number of political and parliamentary issues, condemning the Israeli escalation against Lebanon.
The Bloc expresses its full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran—its leadership, government, and people—in the face of American aggressive threats.
What follows is the text of the statement:
The world continues to hold its breath as it listens to U.S. President Donald Trump beating the drums of war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, under clear Zionist pressure and instigation. Washington is amassing its fleets and war assets in an unprecedented display of aggression in the region. However, the response of the Islamic Republic comes from the Leader, Imam Khamenei (may Allah preserve and protect him), from all the leadership, and from the aware and courageous Iranian people, through a firm determination to confront the enemies with steadfastness and resilience. Should the Americans initiate this war, they will be unable to control its course or outcome, as it will turn into a regional war encompassing the entire region.
Meanwhile, the Zionist enemy continues to escalate its crimes of aggression against Lebanon and Palestine without any international accountability or oversight, with full American and Western complicity. Dozens of civilian victims are falling, and massive destruction is being inflicted upon villages, cities, and targeted areas, while the world remains motionless, failing to deter or halt the aggression. At the same time, the Resistance’s public and its patient, sacrificing, and honorable environment—alongside all honorable patriots and free people of the nation—present a model of steadfastness, resilience, and awareness of the nature and gravity of this stage for the country as a whole, demonstrating national responsibility and disciplined conduct that reflect a commitment to citizenship marked by dignity, pride, and human honor.
In light of the developments and emerging issues in Lebanon, the region, and the world, the Bloc records the following:
First: The Bloc expresses its full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran—its leadership, government, and people—in the face of American aggressive threats. It believes that Iran’s steadfast and resilient stance, both leadership and people, will be capable of confronting any aggression should it occur. The world has grown accustomed to the Islamic Republic of Iran offering all peoples and governments a model to be emulated in safeguarding national sovereignty and thwarting the enemies’ conspiracies. As the Bloc hopes that Allah will grant the Islamic Republic further success in proving its merit and ability to protect its sovereign and mission-based principles, it congratulates its leadership, officials, and people on the forty-seventh anniversary of its victory and wishes them continued honor and triumph.
Second: The Bloc condemns the escalating criminal Zionist aggression, from daily assassination crimes to the intensive targeting of civilian facilities, the poisoning of crops and agricultural lands, exposing the health of Lebanese citizens to the risk of incurable diseases, and causing the desertification of frontline areas to keep them depopulated. The Bloc also condemns the international silence regarding these actions, denounces the failure to address these described terrorist crimes, and holds international community institutions fully responsible for the continuation of these violations without taking the necessary measures to stop them—whether by pressuring the enemy or by adopting deterrent punitive actions to halt the ongoing killing campaigns and violations of Lebanese sovereignty.
Third: Following the approval of the 2026 general budget, the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc urges the government to ensure that the Ministry of Finance immediately undertakes the correction of public-sector salaries across all sectors and retirees, within a comprehensive approach that begins by responding to the demands of these sectors, approving increases with a tangible impact on the ability of workers, employees, and retirees to meet the requirements of a dignified life, accelerating the path toward fundamental solutions, and initiating—without delay—the restructuring and rationalization of the public sector without infringing upon acquired rights.
